Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized individual with excellent communication skills to join
our team!
This position provides support and manages the company’s supply chain projects/product
orders.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to adapt, innovate, and work in and across teams is required.
This position reports to the Director of Technology within the Engineering department, who serves as a liaison between technical and administrative departments for supply chain fulfillment.
Location: This position will require in-person training at ProChem’s main office located in Elliston, VA prior to hybrid transition.
Schedule Requirements: This is a full-time position Monday-Friday 9am-5pm.
Responsibilities: ·Purchasing of products such as parts, materials, equipment, chemicals, and office supplies.
·Utilizing part numbering system to create new item entries ·Maintaining accurate inventory records in the financial system database ·Collaborating with business unit leaders on their current and future needs ·Maintaining accurate records and trend-tracking data, as requested by management ·Arranging disposal, resale, or reallocation of surplus materials, under guidance from a manager ·Obtaining and maintaining vendor pricing ·Maintaining live records of order progress ·Communicating proactively with stakeholders on status of orders ·Securing alternative sources of products to ensure the supply chain is maintained, as needed, by communicating with product managers internally ·Maintaining work process documentation and training materials for the purchasing department ·Interacting with vendors to schedule delivery and resolve shipping errors ·Identifying and documenting product issues and coordinating prompt replacement with suppliers OTHER DUTIES: Please note: This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required for the employee for this job.

Requirements: ·Previous experience in an administrative support position where data accuracy and communication were central to the role is required.
·At a minimum, a high school diploma and relevant work experience are required.
·Experience with QuickBooks is preferred.
·Previous experience in industrial or commercial procurement (private sector) is preferred.
·Supply chain management experience and certification (such as CPSM) is preferred.
·Inventory management experience and certification (such as CPIM) is preferred.
Special Requirements: The company requires all employees to be Hazards Communication trained due to the nature of the business; this position does not, however, come in direct contact with ProChem products.
Physical Demands and Work Environment: ·General office conditions ·The noise level in the work environment is low ·Daily computer use is required, and sitting, standing, and walking are parts of the daily demands.
This may occur indoors and outdoors, up and down hill and on stairs.
·Occasional lifting, pushing, or pulling of up to 20 pounds may be necessary.
·This position requires verbal, electronic, and written communication as well as aural comprehension.
·This position may require flexibility in work hours, vacation, and other schedule considerations to successfully support company needs.
·Occasionally, this position is exposed to unpleasant odor or sounds due to the activities inside and supportive of the laboratory located in the same building as the workspace for this position.
Pay: This position is paid on a salary basis with paid overtime.
