Is familiar with the incident command structure and is able to perform as initial incident commander in disaster/emergency events.
You will display your strong and accurate clinical judgment and expert-nursing skills while following company polices including those related to confidentiality (written, verbal, electronic and digital).
In collaboration with your healthcare team, you will facilitate patient admissions, transfers and staffing needs.
You will provide coaching and manage staff performance as opportunities arise.
You will support staff in adoption of all Quality Initiatives and evidence-based practice.
You will support hospital and nursing annual strategic plans, professional practice model, shared governance and essential nursing administrative functions.
In order to provide a great patient experience, you will collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to coordinate care for an effective and current plan of care.
What qualifications you will need: Diploma or Associates Degree from a professional nursing program (required) BSN or current enrollment in a BSN program at an accredited school of Nursing (preferred) Current licensure as an RN in the state of Virginia or current multi-state compact RN license with eligibility to practice in VA is required.
Four years’ experience as a Registered Nurse is required.
Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date Advanced Cardiac Life Support, or ACLS Instructor must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date Hours: Full-time mixed shifts (12-hour shifts) with rotating weekends LewisGale Hospital Montgomery has provided quality healthcare services since 1910.
