We are looking for a dedicated Lead Clinical Ultrasound like you to be a part of our team.
Job Summary and Qualifications Manages the daily operation of areas within assigned responsibility.
Provides technical guidance for staff in ultrasound.
Able to perform all general and vascular ultrasound procedures.
Coordinates staff schedules.
Participates in selection of new employees.
Evaluates each employee as required.
Operates within budgeted parameters.
Inventories and orders supplies.
Familiar with the operation of all appropriate equipment.
Participates in recommendation and selection of equipment.
In conjunction with staff, assures that equipment functions and is maintained as required.
Understands and operates electronic information systems.
Participates with review and revision of policies and procedures annually.
Adheres to hospital policies and procedures and ensures compliance with regulatory and accrediting agencies.
Assists director in keeping charge master up to date and updating CPCS as appropriate.
Develops and implements Performance Improvement goals and Quality Improvement and Infection Control.
Participates in continuing education activities to expand/enhance knowledge of ultrasound and to meet the continuing education requirements of the ARDMS, ARR, or CCI based on registration.
Prepares patients, collects relevant information for completion of procedures.
Administers contrast media as required.
Observant of patients’ conditions adheres to all safety protocols.
Proficient in vascular ultrasound exams.
Maintain ACR AND JACHO accreditations.
Takes call after regular hours as assigned and provides coverage as needed based on staffing.
EXPERIENCE Three years’ experience as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in a hospital environment.
Computer skills.
- Required Experience as a supervisor in a Diagnostic section of a hospital ultrasound department.
- Preferred EDUCATION Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound, or RVT program or equivalent with registration.
- Required LICENSE/CERTIFICATION ARDMS Registered or ARRT or CCI.
- Required BLS within 90 days of employment This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
