Provides detailed housekeeping services to an assigned area and/or project area and cleans discharges and ancillary spaces.
Provides detailed housekeeping services in all assigned rooms and areas as specified in the respective task schedule following specific policies and procedures.
Completes special projects as assigned.
Cleans, maintains and restocks Environmental Services equipment and returns to designated storage areas.
Notifies appropriate personnel when a discharge or project room is ready for occupancy.
Completes tele-tracking, discharge or project checklist and submits to site leader or manager.
Reports any safety defects or work hazards to site leader or manager.
Adheres to safety guidelines and regulatory compliance in using chemicals and equipment.
Ensures proper disposal of waste materials.
Recognizes different isolation signage and cleans rooms appropriately to provide a clean, safe environment and sets up room according to standards.
Provides basic floor care to include dust mopping, mopping, and cleaning of corners/edges.
Includes basic burnishing of all tile floor care.
Advanced detailed cleaning using chemicals and equipment to machine scrub floor surfaces.
Washes walls, ceilings, tables and equipment, providing a dust free environment.
Replace cubicle curtains, as needed.
Advanced cleaning of all floor care surfaces to include strip and wax.
Cleaning of carpets to include spot cleaning, bonnet work, and extraction of all carpet surfaces.
What We Require:
Education: High school graduate or GED equivalent preferred but not required.
Experience: No experience required.
On the job training provided.
Previous institutional cleaning experience desirable.
Licensure, certification, and/or registration: None required.
Other Minimum Qualifications: Effective interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills required.
Must be able to read written materials.
Close attention to details essential.
Must successfully complete orientation and competency validation for position.
Must be capable of teaching both process and techniques to others.
Must have the knowledge and ability to perform all types of cleaning tasks as an Environmental Tech I and II.
