We want you to apply now! · As a member of our team, you will be accountable for essential clinical knowledge that will positively affect patient outcomes within the scope of nursing practice while assessing, planning, intervening and evaluating care.
· You will display your strong and accurate clinical judgment and expert-nursing skills while following company polices including those related to confidentiality (written, verbal, electronic and digital).
· In collaboration with your healthcare team, you will report critical information or change in condition of patients.
· You will provide comfort and prevent suffering through presence and attentiveness that would include pain assessment and reassessment.
· As a LPN in this unit, you will document effectively, succinctly, and timely according to organizational policy.
· In order to provide a great patient experience, you will collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to coordinate care for an effective and current plan of care.
Requirements: · Diploma or Associates Degree from a professional nursing program (required) · Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Virginia or current multi-state compact LPN license with eligibility to practice in VA is required.
· American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider (required) The Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN) delivers high quality, patient-centered care by performing a variety of delegated basic patient care services.
In collaboration with the RN and other members of the care team, the LPN/LVN provides individualized, comprehensive care consistent with the scope and standards of the specialty.
What you will do in this role: Provide direct, evidence-based care to patients as directed by the physician or RN.
Assist with procedures, monitoring, or other functions as directed.
Perform lab and procedural tests within the LVN/LPN scope of practice, after demonstrating competency.
Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
Serve as a resource to department staff, students and volunteers to help deliver quality patient care.
