The Fleet Services team are the friendly folks responsible for managing our university's rental vehicle fleet, which boasts approximately 150 state vehicles.
The Customer Service Representative (CSR) for Fleet Services serves as the face of the office, frequently as the first point of contact for our customers.
The CSR is responsible for standard customer service activities such as answering customer phone calls, emails, and assisting customers as needed.
The CSR also supports Fleet Services operations by managing multiple aspects of the vehicle reservation process, monitoring driver profiles in the Fleet Commander system and answering policy and procedure questions.
The incumbent will also work with the operations coordinator, shop supervisor, and outside vendors for vehicle repair and maintenance issues, provide administrative support to the Records Manager, and serve as backup to other positions in the office as needed to support continuing operations.
The anticipated schedule is Monday through Friday, 10am - 5pm (6 hours per day with 1 hour for lunch break).
Required Qualifications • Strong computer knowledge including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, such as Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Proven experience providing a high-caliber customer service.
• Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.
• Strong organizational, time management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to perform detailed work with a high degree of accuracy, and to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to interact effectively in a team environment with a diverse group of people.
• Ability to facilitate the resolution of incidents between individuals, departments, and agencies • Basic knowledge and familiarity with standard vehicle features and their operation.
• Ability to ask effective clarifying questions in response to customers’ concerns about vehicle functions and clearly relay that troubleshooting information to mechanics.
Preferred Qualifications • Experience preparing a variety of reports for management.
• Knowledge of university and/or fleet policies and procedures.
Appointment Type Regular Salary Information Commensurate with education and experience Review Date Rolling review of applications as they are submitted.
