Cockerham Food Mart #105 located at 7766 Fancy Gap Hwy, Fancy Gap, VA is looking for *Customer Service Cashier*.
Cockerham is a 3rd generation, locally owned and operated, owning and operating 8 convenience stores (Galax, Hillsville, & Fancy Gap, VA), Hampton Inn and the Pizza Inn/TCBY in Hillsville, VA.
Also supplies a full line of propane and petroleum products to residential and commercial customers in Virginia and North Carolina.
*Primary Job Duties:*
* Provides fast and efficient service
* Operate electronic cash register by ringing transactions, collecting money or processing credit card transactions
*
* Check ID's for age restricted items (Cigarettes, lottery/lotto, etc.
)
* Stocking shelves and cooler while rotating product
* Clean all areas, using proper cleaning procedures and materials, including (but not limited to) counter tops, microwaves, shelves, floors, windows, cooler doors, food service equipment, restrooms, and parking lots
* Check in vendors as needed following company guidelines
* Assumes other duties and responsibilities as assigned to accommodate store operational needs
*Requirements and Skills:*
* Must be 21 years of age or older
* Be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 30 pounds with or without assistance
* Experience in retail environment/food service preferred
* Reliable and accountable
