Optical Assistant and Front Office Associate

Job Description Johnson Curran Optometry Centers is searching for Optical Sales and Office Associates to join our Christiansburg team.
We are looking for someone who is friendly, engaging and enthusiastic about helping people.
Responsibilities will include (but not limited to) : * Greeting patients in a warm and welcoming manner * Updating patient records with current information * Obtaining insurance authorizations * Educating and advising patients on frame/lens options * Placing orders * Dispensing and Adjusting Eyewear * Assisting contact lens patients * Reviewing insurance benefits with patients * Actively participating in training events to stay up to date with technology * Use of Electronic Health Records Successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong ability to multi-task, acute attention for detail, great follow up, and a high level of integrity.
Candidate must be a self-motivated team player wanting to make a difference.
Our office is goal and performance oriented so a willingness to be held accountable for results is required.
There is half day Saturday and evening work so flexibility is a must.
